The ruffler #86 is a specialist for simple ruffling and pleating of fabrics. Thanks to its variable setting options, both the pleat depth and the frequency of the gathering can be varied.
The ruffler #86 can be used to create a pleat with every stitch, every 6th or every 12th stitch. It is also possible to sew pleat-free without changing the presser foot (ruffler position=0). The gathering is created with the special gathering blade. As the needle moves up and down, a small amount of fabric is always caught and pushed under the needle. The result is neat and even ruffles on home textiles or garments. The pleat depth can be infinitely adjusted by turning a cross-head adjusting screw.
