With its recesses in front of and behind the stitch hole, the reverse feed foot #1 is particularly suitable for sewing forward and reverse feed stitches. It can be used to sew various utility and decorative stitches as well as cuffs and hems on heavy fabrics such as corduroy, denim or wool. Reverse feed foot #1 has a slit at the side. This makes it easy to feed the upper thread back under the foot.
