The bernette 48 is the top model in the FUNLOCK series and is a combination of an overlock and a coverstitch machine. It offers a total of 23 stitches: 15 overlock stitches, 3 cover stitches, 4 combo stitches and 1 chain stitch, overlock stitches with a stitch width of up to 7 mm, cover stitches with stitch widths of 2.8 or 5.6 mm and combo stitches with a stitch width of up to 10 mm. Threading is made easier by colour-coded thread paths, and a manual threader in the needle area supports threading into the needles. The lower looper and chain looper have a mechanical threading aid. The knife is operated from below and therefore not only ensures a cleanly cut fabric edge, but also safe handling and can be conveniently adjusted with one hand. The bright LED light ensures a well-lit sewing and threading area. The bernette Funlock 48 sewsat a speed of up to 1300 stitches per minute.

If you follow the colour-coded threading paths on the bernette Funlock 48, threading is child's play. A separate needle threader and hook threading mechanism make this even easier.
