One-Step BERNINA Air Threader

The threads are fed directly through the machine by air at the touch of the foot pedal. This leaves both hands free to guide the threads. The BERNINA L860 automatically brings the hooks into the correct position for the air threader - simply press the foot control and off you go!

Whether stitch selection, individual stitch settings or personal memory - the touchscreen keeps all information available at all times and allows changes to be made while sewing. The L 860 offers a guided mode and expert mode. In both modes, the thread tension, stitch length and differential feed are set automatically with the stitch selection.

With the BERNINA free-motion system (FHS), you can easily raise and lower the presser foot using the knee lever. The presser foot can also be swivelled out to the side for easy access to the needles.

The L 860 gives you plenty of room for creativity, in the truest sense of the word. The L 860 has as much space to the right of the needles and clearance height as you would expect from a BERNINA overlocker. Plus the practical free arm, where sleeves or cuffs can simply be slipped over.

Stitch length, differential feed, thread tension, cutting width or any other stitch parameter can also be adjusted while sewing. With a simple turn of the mtc knob, you can fine-tune the amount of looping thread that surrounds the edge of the fabric.
